The Bridewell Theatre is a versatile and atmospheric space. Its 12 x
7.5 metre performance / presentation area, can be hired at a competitive rate. The venue
also provides a modular tiered seating system that, in standard raked configuration, can
accommodate 134 people but can be rearranged to suit the particular needs of individual
productions and designers. The theatre is furnished with en suite dressing rooms, a
box-office space / reception area and a fully equipped bar.
Visiting theatre companies have access to a variety of technical equipment including a
scaffold, temporary grid, a selection of lights, lighting board and a sound system, but
are expected to supply their own box office, front of house and technical
support.

The Bridewell Bar is open during all lunchtime and evening
performances and provides an excellent space for pre / post theatre drinks. We can even
accommodate your after show parties.
The bar also makes an intimate setting for meetings and workshops prior to production
week. Its central location makes it perfect for private functions.
